UMB online banking allows you to pay bills electronically from your eligible UMB accounts. Always make sure adequate funds are available prior to initiating a bill payment. If you have the UMB overdraft protection service, the line of credit provided by this service may be accessed to cover a potential overdraft against your deposit account. Refer to the Overdraft Protection section of this guide for more details.
You can make payments through online banking to any business, merchant or professional that generates a bill or invoice for products or services provided to you or on your behalf, and that has an address can be verified . You may also make payments to individuals, family, or friends for non-business purposes. Payments may be made only to Payees with a U.S. payment address. You may not make a payment of alimony, child-support, taxes, or other governmental fees, court-directed payments, or payments to settle securities purchases through online banking.
UMB online banking allows you to transfer funds between eligible UMB online accounts. Always make sure adequate funds are available prior to initiating the transfer. Transferred funds will not be available for bill payment until the business day following the transaction date of the transfer.
If funds are not available in the account the funds are coming from and you have overdraft protection for that account, UMB will automatically draw the difference from the line of credit.
You can initiate a transfer on any bank business day prior to 9 p.m. CT. To do so, follow the steps below.
Your online balance will immediately reflect any transfers you have made, but your online statements will not immediately display these transfers. UMB Bank needs a certain amount of time to update its records and your online statement information.
